I agree that the final boss is too easy, but it isn't true that you don't know
who he is or where he came from. Go back to Mt. Gagazet and speak to Maechen(the
old man who tells stories), he tellls you about him.
Also, in case some weren't aware, before you beat the game you should go back to
the temples and talk to the fayths because the give you some neat info and helps
make sense of the true ending after the credits. Here is what they talk
